hawse fairlead license plate mount

Hello,

I got my winch on about a week ago and need to mount my license plate. The only one I have seen is the Rocdog:

It looks nice enough but there are other things I would like to spend 30 bucks on. Has anyone made a home brew mount?

you can have something like this made easy. Bolts behind the fairlead and holds the license plat above it.

I have the RocDog mount in use with an aluminum hawse fairlead. It includes materials for both the roller fairlead mount along with the nylon stand-offs for a hawse fairlead. Please note it also comes with the backing plate and stainless steel cable keeper for the plate. All in all, it may be $12-18 in materials at scale. Why would you choose otherwise?

Just seeing if anyone had a simple home brew suggestion. I had thought of mounting it above the fairlead like in the picture above, but that would block my lights.
