hello to all, I have been looking for a Discovery II for quite a while, and in that search I found a 1994 RR Classic County Long wheel base. I have always like the look of them but never did much research on them, more so on the Discovery side, I have always enjoyed the Disco's driving position and the way they handle. I had a 2001 for a while and truly enjoyed it. Now this RR has my attention, it has 70k and it seems to be real millage, as the story goes from the PO he bought it with 17k and drove it until 69k and then his attention went to his Defender, a friend of mine purchase it to do some off-roading and when he realized how much it cost to lift it and do some work offered it to me. the interior is pristine, and the engine is very smooth in all gears and no overheating issues. everything works, windows, radio, ac, all lights, and most amazingly not one light in the dash (warning light) is on
the only thing is the paint, no rust at all but the paint is fading a bit. It is a dark blue with tan interior. While driving a bit and leaving it on for a while the only thing I noticed is how hot the front hood got by the driver side near the front glass windshield. no where else was it that hot. Any information on this model would be appreciated. I have never owned a RR, so I am truly a newbie to this model. I have lurked for a long time here since I have had Landcruisers, Jeep's, and thr Disco.
The friend wants to trade it to me for a 1998 Chevy cheyenne I have with 182k that I use as a daily driver. Although I do some offroad, its by no means hardcore, mostly getting to camp sites and beaches here in Puerto Rico.
At any rate, all commments are welcome and saludos from PR!
Dan
EDIT: it has a 4.2 v8
