Campfire XL by Sierra

Well, I just bought a new camper. I have been shopping for quite a while and this is one well built unit. The frame is fully boxed aluminum the walls have an aluminum frame welded to the frame. all aluminum siding and white birch interior, with rigid foam insulation. The cabinets are solid wood. Everything in the unit will run off of propane except the microwave and a/c.

Sierra is better know for high end horse trailer living quarters. They are made in Bristol, IN. It only weighs 1700lbs dry and its 15ft long.

The website kind of sucks but here it is: Campfire

Granted it is not a true "expedition" camper, but it will handle primitive camping I need it to and handle the back roads just fine.

hmm if you dont mind me asking how much did it run you approx? the gf is afraid of bears/cougars going after us in a rtt/tent trailer so this could fit the bill.

Old school looks with modern building materials. I like!

I'd say better than new materials, since so many of them are made with chipwood these days.

Nice to see one that's made of better stuff, and not a bad price either.
