I like the tool bag. Where did you get it?

I found I get stuck on the diffs more after I got the guards. Not the guard's fault. It's just, I was super careful not to hit the diffs before, not wanting to puncture them. Now that they're protected, I'm less careful. But yeah, the rut was obviously not going to work out so well.

the tool bag was from northern tool or home depot, cant remember exactly. but its not ahrd to find at all.

no, i knew there was a 99% chance i was gonna get stuck. this wasn't some "expedition trip". if you can see behind my vehicle there is a perfectly level dirt road lol. I drove out to the woods (15 minutes from my apartment) for the sole purpose of taking on all the new obstacles made by the bad weather a few weeks back. I made it through everything out there, except this one rut...i knew it was gonna happen, but i had to say i tried. i got pulled out 5 minutes later.

and yes, diff guards and sliders do make you do dumber things LOL

musky, you won't see me doing anything close to that when i actually go some distance or know i am dependent on the vehicle. you will see me avoiding puddles and potholes on my way to the glades, let alone going completely around crossings/mud holes if possible. I'm not dumb, 98% of the time that is the way i work. this was a 2% thing. the last time i pulled a stunt like this, i got stuck, go figure.

Looks like a bucket-boss toolbag. I bought the same one at sears awhile back. Amazon.com sells them too.

All fluids have just been changed. Getting the truck ready for my FL to TX and back trip in June.

HLC Fab front bumper will arrive via freight in a few weeks and will be on the truck before June 1st I do believe.

anyone have pics or ideas for washer fluid res relocation?

right now, i'm thinking of putting the original fluid container (with a shortened neck) where the SLS pump mount is on the driverside frame rail. Gmooker (on discoweb) did it and hasnt had any issues, its just a pain in the *** to fill. I'm just thinking of doing that rather then building my own res out of PVC, i dont like the D90 bottle conversion and there the Secondary Air won't let me relocate my stocker in the engine bay.

That's what I did. I simply extended all of the hoses and electrical lines. Routed them along the top of the frame and Bob's your uncle.

I used the same size as what's on your truck. You will also need to cut your fill tube down. Basic stuff man.

do the pvc pipe chris. drill a hole with a hole saw in the metal up there and put the filler neck there. works like a charm.

the devon4x4 res is very nice but not worth the money.

i'm just gonna relocate the factory one to the SLS pump site. if i somehow ******* that up then i'll do the PVC lol.

I just finished the framework for a roof rack mounted awning tonite. pics up tomorrow. :victory:

Chris, can you roll that tarp up tighter? Maybe you could get a little smaller diameter pipe...you leaving this on permanently or just throw it on when you need it? Also, maybe its just the picture but I dunno about the bedliner...but its whatever! as long as you like it bro. I have been wanting to just get some tent poles, but this is much more sturdy.

lee the 4 aluminum poles don't permit me from using a 4" PVC. i oculdnt find any 5" PVC so 6" is what i'm stuck with.

I'm just gonna leave it permanently on there. bedliner was the only option, spray paint turns out uneven and would scratch off.

well lemme rephrase. it will be on my truck permanently until I get home from driving to TX and back. once i get back up to AU i might take it off as well as the jerry cans.
