Donaldson 7" Cyclonic Pre-Filter

Its small enough that I plan to keep it in the truck and just put it on when on really dusty trails. I have a Ram type head for normal driving. Of course now I have to get off my ***** and build the rest of the snorkel so I have something to put it on....

Right on... yeah it looks like we've been sacrificing valuable air flow and most likely compromising our mpg.

I've been told that the 7" is good for say a 4 cylinder motor.

Make that, 4 cylinder GAS motor. Diesel needs a lot more CFM.

LOL, I was wondering the same thing. For now I simply cut filter media for in home HVAC systems and put it behind the snorkel head grating. It seems to work fine and based on my butt dyno, I haven't experienced any power issues.:smiley_drive:

I have no idea about the CFM for the safari snorkel, but his is how you figure out the CFM for the donaldson- http://www.donaldson.com/en/engine/support/datalibrary/056798.pdf
The 7" is rated for 170 cfm and the 10" is rated for 320 cfm. The 10" flows a lot more air than the smaller unit. Just passing on info for future buyers.
