I will suggest that you either reserve approximately $3k per year for repairs other than routine maintenance or get a quality extended warranty.

Yeah...no offense..but I'll stick with a Toyota. ;-)

Depends on what's the difference btw maintenance and repairs. I haven't broken anything, but I need to review the receipts to remember what was fixed. I know the insanely expensive brake rotors would be service.

And still, the "three amigos" brake light warnings have been lit more often than not.

Oh, ok, I don't really consider brakes to be "service". I consider service to be mostly fluid changes, adjustments, etc. but I guess there's no rigid definition. I'd never pay for somebody to read computer codes when you can purchase a scanner for the price of 2 visits.

I think by the definition of service being used here, your Toyota would cost a similar amount. You do still need to change the oil, and the brakes do sometimes wear out, even on a Toyota, right? ;)

Mine Tundra is a 2002 and I haven't spent that much since I have owned it on repairs...lol
