Disco I Light Bar

I saw SOMEWHERE, someone had simply placed a bar across the stock roof rack "bars" and mounted his lights there, I really liked the looks!

Anyone if its was bought, made, how it was mounted, any ideas how to mount it?

I think he just drilled into standard load bars.

It appeared the bar was wayy more forward than the d1 support bars mount. But that picture is pretty close, maybe there's a difference in the d1 and d2 support locations

Just drill two more holes to mount the bar closer up..

Wish I didn't throw away those two extra bars I had.

I would suggest a single gutter mounted light bar like one of these. I don't recomend drilling any holes in your truck. Trust me on that.

man, just saw what you mean. but no I am not drilling through my roof. More like drill two holes so i can mount the bar further towards the front.

Only drilling the roof rail.

The advantage of having the lights slightly back from the front edge of the roof is you get no glare down onto your windshield.

Ebay in the UK have various different types that mount on the rain channel rather than the roof.

Just look at the glare on this thing. You can clearly see it in the hood.

Hmm Ill find something, I think the bar over the sunroof is a little too far back but I could see that too far forward could be a problem. Good think is the roof rack bars are removable so I can experiment. And two more holes slightly forward wont hurt.
