Diesel Ramcharger

Just saw a custom built Ramcharger for sale and it is SWEET! It has a 12 valve from a 97 3500 and an automatic transmission. I'll see if I can post a pic but would LOVE to hear your opinions on this truck

I'm curious what they did to the suspension to support the weight of the cummins. From experience I know that a lot needs to be done to make it function well.

Judging from the engine compartment pictures it looks like they did a pretty good job on the swap. The wiring is all nice and tidy, I have seen some where it looks like a rats nest of wiring. Generally if they took the time to tidy up the wiring they did the rest of the swap with equal care.

I have seen a few of those... and its a pretty straight-forward swap....

And, it has 8 lugs... so.... probably got the springs out of a 3/4 or 1 ton cummins(first gen, they bolt right right in), and the axles as well....

All it takes is the motor mounts from a 1st gen cummins, and the cummins of yoru choice....

The 12v is especially easy, as, it really only NEEDS a 1 wire....

But, its a good looking truck, I'd snag it in a heartbeat, IF it would pass here...

I know I said "don't ever sell your 12 valve truck" back when you were contemplating the F350, but, in this case I will make an exception! That thing is freakin gorgeous! I would buy it in a second... (And then go give the wheels to someone at the mall, and buy real wheels for it!).

Up for sale is a 93 Ramcharger I've owned for about 4 years, with a Cummins/drivetrain conversion I did almost 2 years ago. Truck has 143,000 miles, the engine has 158,000 miles.

Engine: 97 180HP 12V from 3500 Auto truck(currently 360HP/860TQ)
Trans: DTT 47RH with some 48RE internals
Axles: D60/70 3.54 from 91 W250 donor truck
Xfercase: 205 from same donor truck above
Suspension: Alcan 3inch springs, Rancho 9000XL shocks

All wiring is complete and accurate for a 93 diesel application. Everything works, A/C, Cruise, gauges, Diesel infocenter, ABS. Some other notable items, include Borgeson steering shaft, LS Dana70, Intercooled core support with IC setup from donor, engine has HTT 62/65/12, DDP2s, 100plate, 3K GSK, 16.5 timing. Dealer option diesel tach, Autometer ZSeries Pyro,Boost,Trans gauges on the pillar.

For what the truck and swap looks like that isn't a bad price. Too bad I have kids and can't get anything unless its a four door.

Having wheeled much of the west in a Ramcharger, I would throw my FJ60 to the curb in a sec for this if the funds were there. Space is not a concern with a Charger!
