1986 Hilux 4x4 Extra cab, 22R-TE, Fully loaded, PS, PW, PDL, Air, Rear Defrost, Cruise, Tilt, Automatic, Moon Roof.

260K miles on the truck. All California Emissions devices are intact.

Fully documented life back to the receipt of the original sale.
All valve adjustments, preventative maintenance and oil changes have been early or on time throughout.

Engine rebuilt by Piercey Toyota at 168920
Rebuilt Turbo and new Toyota exhaust manifold at 208019 (Coast Fuel Injection rebuilt turbocharger. Piercey Toyota did the work)
New Radiator at 220620

It drives great and according to the reading on the Banks turbo gauge, it runs at 6-7 psi of boost.

There are no leaks that I see except a little weep from the valve cover. All the fluids look as clean as the rest of the truck. (A reflection on the service history)

When I got it, the power window switch was finicky. I put a new switch module in it and it works fine now.

I don't hesitate driving this truck to Phoenix and back in the Summer months. It has been that reliable, fun to drive, and comfortable.

The truck has only ever lived in SoCal and Arizona, so there is ZERO rust.

Nice truck. I've got an 87 4Runner with the 22ret motor and love it. If I did not have it I'd snatch yours up. Fun to drive. Cool that you even still have the service light that plugs in under the dash. Mine is missing and I am looking for one. Good luck with the sale.

A couple of questions.

--What color is the truck? It's hard to tell from the pictures.

--What size tires are on the truck and how much tread is left?

--What kind of fuel mileage are you getting? Does it take premium?

--Are you able to pick up a prospective buyer at the Flagstaff airport?

That is one beautiful Toyota. A shot of bedliner, and it'd be perfect.

Wow, I've NEVER seen one of those service lights, just the underdash socket to plug it in.

Best of luck with the sale... I'm surprised you aren't asking for a higher price, it's unusual to see them in such condition...

The truck is silver. The top of the hood and roof are faded a bit. one of the A pilars is down to primer. My plan was to go with a top and hood repaint and put a small pinstripe to break the paint line.

235-75-15 tires that still have "legal" tread remaining. If you are in an area that has Winter weather, I'd suggest new tires soon. Last year I put 31 BFG AT/KOs on it for a little while (the wheels and tires from our 62 while the studs were on it). It did great with the 31s.

I get right around 16MPG with day to day driving. Highway only at today's speed limit, it gets ~19. If I drive 55 on the highway it goes up to ~22.

The minimum fuel requirement as published in the Owner's manual is 87. I run regular unless it will be sitting a while, then I top it off with a brand name premium. Just an old superstition that I got from my dad back in the day. I have driven it to and from Phoenix in the peak of Summer on 87 with no pinging. The 22RT-E is pretty conservatively set up in stock form. Low boost (<8psi), low compression (<8:1) makes it very safe to run on low octane. In stock form, the general consensus of the tuners of the 22RT-E, is that you can safely adjust the turbo to 10psi without issues other than needing to have a larger exhaust and running premium. Over 10psi, you should run a metal head gasket and head studs. I'm happy with the performance as a stocker.

I could meet someone at Phoenix Sky Harbor, too. Saves the 150 bucks and the time off your life from white knuckling the flight to FLG.
