Blue Lake campout...

Headed over the pass down into Yakima, WA and then back up east into the mountains to Blue Lake for some camping last weekend. The weather wasn't the greatest with lots of rain and wind, but was a fun run and definetly a place to camp in the summer. The trails were very slick, so the winch got some overtime pay. We also drove through a part that had a pretty bad fire not to long ago, some great pics but a weird feeling at the same time.

Yeah I know:elkgrin: Yeah the plan is to wire a water proof toggle on the bumper and one in the cab so it can be ran from either location. That controller is such a pain, especially when you are on a hill...

Nice trip, but that first part looks like it could have been a pretty hairy downhill ride!!! if not for the winch.

Yeah the tires were down, just super slick mud!!! Tod made it across but had to gun it at the end to make it up the other side, which in turn made it almost impossible for me to get over so I just figured I would swing over from the tree :elkgrin:

that type of slick mud can make for some fun times but can make for some scary times too!

that's a nice area for sure. did you get up top to the ridge? the views up from that road are amazing when the weather's clear. good post

We did make it up there but it was so socked in we couldn't really see anything.
