Roof Mounted Light Bar

Had a goofy idea around 1am this mornig but has anyone ever tried to retrofit that roof mounted light bar that came on Jeep Liberty's (I think it was the renegade model) to the roof of a 3rd gen 4runner.

Like I said this was just some goofy idea I had.

The hood scoop looks worse than the light bar.

Looks to me like an 'answer' in search of a problem. Are you outrunning your bumper mounted lights?

Though there are smaller versions of the led light bar for a cheaper price...

glare

one important thing to consider: roof mounted lights create a horrible glare on the hood, reducing night vision dramatically

the off-road racers have found a number of ways to reduce the glare
paint the hood matte black (like the 4Runner in the Baja 1000)
move the lights back, so the roof schades the hood
individual lower shades on each light
tape off the lower portion of the lights

also important: the extreme exposure makes them prone to get knocked out by tree branches
