Kamparoo vs. Teardrop

Need a little help with the next trailer purchase. I have a sweet kamparoo waiting for me once my Casita sale is final (a week or two away).

But am wanting to get some thoughts on a Kamparoo vs. a Teardrop (built for offroad of course)

I love the Kamaproo, its light, easy to maneuver and has the extra room for the pups. What my hesitation is have essential and very expensive tent.

Now a teardrop ala AT's version would be awesome but it wont have a place for the pups and I plan on doing all the off road mods myself because I totally cant afford AT's.

So has anyone else had this issue or even thought about it??

I never liked the concept of a Teardrop and dogs. Think rainy day and you, wife and dog on the bed, dog goes outside and jumps right back into your bed.

The teardrop would make a nice DIY Project but if that's the case what's wrong with modifying your enclosed cargo set up? It's going to have more interior space than most teardrops.

I was thinking that. Your idea sounds awsome (that beign the top mod)but Im not sure i have the ability to do it.

The teardrop I think is a pipe dream anyway I like idea of have a "sperate room"....hint hint.:sombrero:

You need one of these :D

You sleep on top, the dogs in the bottom part. Best of both worlds, a teardrop and the Kamparoo :wings:

I was actually thinking of an Oztent with side wall off the back of the trailer I have now.

Unless I could find a Westy pop top and go to town on roof of the trailer.

your trailer isn't long enough.

I can buy just the top part of the Top Bunk USA and do something similiar to the Westy but you need at least 7 ft of roof space.

Chad tries to come in below $10k with his trailer, less than a AT Teardrop. But production still is a couple weeks out.
