You have a US M416. Kinda funny seeing you can get an M101 in Canada pretty cheap. But anyhow, if you still need it, I can send you a pic later tonite. PM me you email addy.

To the best of my knowledge the M101 CDN is not longer avail as the supply has been exhausted.

Me and some guys bought 40 of them and they were $875 FOB Phoenix, AZ. The supplier in CDN said this might be his last big sale. His site is no longer up and he had been selling them for years.

I get several requets a month from guys looking and they just do not seem to be out there for sale any longer anywhere but the individual market.

Yep, that's a pic of an M416.

The US M101 is a 3/4T (that's the plate link I had posted)

The M101 CDN is an awsome trailer! I think better built than the M416.

Thanks for the demensions Don!

No, prob at all.

I have detailed and inspected the two and the M101 CDN is far superior to the M 416 US. That said the M 416 is a GREAT trailer and there are plenty that have seen wartime going back to WWII that are being pulled by guys today. They are overbuilt. I spent a lot of time in Army R&D and Testing. My gig was IT but I knew plenty of the guys in the command. It is my estimate the M416 was designated as a 1/4 Ton trailer (500 lbs) payload being pulled cross country off road at a sustained speed of 15 mph. The rated load is around a1/2 Ton (1000 lbs) meeting the same criteria. The overload factor is around a 3000 lb + load.

This is only my estimate based upon my understanding of how capacities are applied. The following is a real example.

Human (Infantry rucksack carry). 20% of body weight. 200 lb man to carry 40 lbs in the rucksack.

Training carry runs about double that depending upon winter or summer carry and unit designation, in this case, 11b, know as 'straight-leg' Infantry, these are the guys that walk everywhere as contrasted with Mechanized Infantry who ride in armored personnel carriers.

Now for the test of mettle so to speak: COMBAT load, this is REAL not training. Complex due to theater of operations (desert vs jungle etc), units mission in its area of operations. In Vietnam we carried very close to body weight, typically about 150 lbs gross. This is rucksack + load bearing equipment + weapon, etc. Not sure what the current combat carry is in the sandbox.

Point: This was only meant to illustrate the extreme difference between what is in the manual to all out combat in a wartime scenario.

What the M101 CDN have done is generally reinforce some potentially weak areas and add additional man-handling points. It has made the trailer heavier slightly but sturdier build for longevity not in carrying capacity.

I would say the difference between the M101 CDN and M416 US is the difference between the Playmate of the month Vs Playmate of the year...:victory:
