Homebuilt stuff

I didnt see a thread for low buck homemade upgrades here, the one in the jeep forum is pretty popular so I thought Id start one here, sorry if there is one I didnt see.

First is a cheap, simple front light mount for my Dodge 2500. I saw a product at SEMA this year called the TagLite by RealWheel Corp and since I couldnt buy it right then, and I had plenty of 2x0.120 steel strap I figured I would just build my own....

Apparently i cant post the pics here since I posted them in the Jeep forum already? heres the link http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43748&page=9

lights are $20 /pr cheapies so the total cost, with a factory fog light switch, is maybe $30.

If anyone could share the stock fog light switch location I'd appreciate it....

I built a bed rack out of some 3/8th plywood and SYP 1x4's. I used it as a kitchen when I went tent camping a lot. Since my bed liner is plastic, even fully loaded it slides pretty easily.

:sombrero:What an excellent idea Jnich. I love it when people build things themselves from raw materials!:victory:

Thank ya, yeah I am a big fan of DIY projects. This summer I am going to tear into my Jumping Jack and start tinkering with it making it more functional that it already is.

I'll have to watch for that one, I have a JJ also that I use a fair bit. Pull it into the trails with my Jeep

I already started a very mild build thread on it a few months back... then this spring summer I am going to start adding more stuff. I just had 4' added to the tongue so I can mount a box to hold my fridge and A/C in addition to the one already there.

Thank you! I love the action packers. The best part is, for a weekend camping trip those totes hold all the food and cooking supplies. Makes is really easy to pack and unpack.
