Hello everyone,
This is our first attempt at a trip report. Our family loves to camp, in 2010 we spent 12 nights in our tent and shared 7 day trips together. we are a Family of five so camping is not as relaxing as it should be, but we survive. we preffer to make our camp so picnic tables and bathrooms are not part of the scenery we enjoy.

hope you enjoy the pictures.

This is the camp we made after arriving later than any sane family would attempt. The Baker family has enjoyed this camp site in Hewitt canyon just north of the Queen creek for many years.

One of the reasons we arrived late is due to this amazing last minute purchase.

The kids and i left Mom alone in camp and hiked this hill to look for pottery. all we found is that the girls enjoy hiking and dont get as tired as I thought they would. If you look closely you can see us on top.

We woke to a flat rear tire that had experienced a side wall wound, this put a damper on our original plans of driving to the snow on Montana mountain. Amanda and I agreed it would be very inconvenient to risk loosing another tire, Our spare was a bit crusty and kind of limp. So I tried plugging the tire with rope and silicone, figured it was worth a try. It did not work, so we stayed in camp.

Our... Original spare?

Cute kids! :bike_rider: It's great to see other people getting their kids out and having fun outdoors instead of choosing the video game alternative lol.

How do you like the Wagoneer? Looks like a really nice outfit.

I hear you on the camping with a family of five isn't relaxing as it should be sometimes but it sure is fun when you look back on it. My youngest is now almost 6 and my oldest boy is 14 so setting up and breaking camp is easier than when they were toddlers. But I do miss the excitement they show when they are that age and you go take them to do something fun that they have never done before, only my youngest is still at that stage. They grow up so fast.

Looks like a great local trip.

How did the heater work out?

The heater was a life saver, Amanda said if we didn't have the heater we would have gone home. It is supposed to shut down when the oxygen. Get low but we weren't going to find out so we left a few vents open. If it gets bumped it promptly shuts down.
