he is a Toyota fanboi and is offended that this thread was made in this section. i say leave it here.

yes -- Dave is a Hummer hater (and most likely a hater of most other non-Toyota trucks) which is a "bummer" but he often has good things to say, owns a nice truck and does make a point. I usually just hit "new posts" and scroll down them, so I usually don't know what section it is I am reading/responding in.

Taking loan is the best way to buy a truck, but before applying for a loan, make sure to compare the interest rates of banks. You can save more by opting for low interest bank loans. It is better to take an unsecured loan. You do not need to sacrifice your valuable properties in order to push through the loan.

Since this is the Toyota section.....

Get another Tundra DC. It's got a sweet engine, great transmission, gets decent mileage and will last you many many miles. It will do everything you are asking.....even the offroad bit, without a complaint. They are great trucks.

Funny you mentioned hauling stones for a wall, we've done the exact same thing with our Tundra, made about three trips before we decided it was faster to buy it by the pallet! 15 pallets later and we were finally done!

Not to repeat myself, but there is no "general vehicle" board listed under "expedition vehicles".. there is a "General vehicle modifications: Hosted by Tuffy" board, but it says it is for mods, not actual vehicles. There is also a "Domestic full size and other" board, but it says it is for fords, Hummers, and GMs, not ALL VEHICLES which is what im after.

Thanks to everyone who answered, I went into this not knowing what I needed and ive gotten quite a few questions answered. Going to keep looking on carmax and autotrader, still looking for a fullsize truck to lift and put some bigger, grippier wheels on, I think thatll be perfect for what i want. If Im wrong, please let me know! Im under the impression that any fullsize truck with 4WD will be alright for offroading in the hilly-desert/forest area of the Escondido, CA mountains. I plan on lifting it and putting tires like these http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...7B8129D0B642E9BD0BB9CE080&first=1&FORM=IDFRIR which is all I really know about making a truck better for offroad, lifting it and getting bigger, grippier tires.

radial swampers are WAAAY better (and safer on the road) than the bias ply, though they are kinda noisy and in my experience tend to wear fast.
