04 DII in Disney movie African Cats

Went and saw "Rango" last night (awesome.)

They had a preview for a Disney documentary called "African Cats" -- the first shot shows a nicely built and loaded-with-camera-equipment '04 DII out on the savanna.

Might have to see it just for this reason. :sombrero:

I was actually talking to the imagineering department via my master's program about coming on board.

Kinda got sidetracked later in my program, but man, what a dream job.

The trailer I saw was in the theatre... it was a different trailer than this one.

The DII was only on the screen for a few seconds -- there's gotta be some production photos or something that shows this truck?

am I seeing something going on with them doors?

My guess is that the doors have been modified to make the vehicle a mobile shooting blind. A lot of animals are not nearly as spooked by a vehicle as they are by a man. It looks as if the driver is the cinematographer and can pull up where he wants, turn to the already mounted camera and begin shooting.
