Figured I would just start compiling the random pictures I've been taking into one thread.

A little background: I just got my first DSLR (4/11), it's a Nikkon d3000 with a Nikkor 18-55mm "kit" lense. I'm just getting into digital photography and am taking a class for my last humanities elective in college.

I like the composition, with a little selective dodging and burning it could be very strong. Although in my mind maybe the shutter speed could be a little slower.

I'm definitely a photoshop noobie, I play with levels a little and occasionally crop but that's it........I kinda like just going with what comes out of the camera too.

Thanks for the comments I really want to get out and try some long exposure water shots. I need to get a remote too..........

You've got some nice compositions and angles in your photos. Until you can afford a remote, just use the self timer
