Nissan SMB anyone?

First I had seen or heard of this until looking in the paper today. Looks like it shares the Titan platform and depending on model will use the 4.0L or 5.6L. I would guess swapping in the 4wd from the Titan could be a possibility. Anyone want to make a Nissan SMB?

Actually saw one at the gas station the other day. I wouldn't mind trading in our Astro cargo work van for one. It was pretty nice and got decent mileage.

Anyone know if they got the rear axle issues squared away in the Titans? IIRC, I remember seeing that they had some issues with them.

Ouch. you need to put a warning before showing these images...my breakfast almost got rejected....

Hope you're not making fun of my Photoshop skills.:coffeedrink:

I do agree that it's not a good looking vehicle, but what will it look like after SMB makes it their own?

The looks are starting to grow on me, and the long snout gets rid of a lot of the shortcomings of vans: engine access and front leg room. Road tests indicate favorable driving characteristics and the 4.0 provides good power, fuel economy (better than Sprinter diesel in road tests) and towing capacity. The 4.0 seems to be the most-common engine, which is great to see, IMO.

Roadtrek has built a pop-up model on the NV. Many other RV manufacturers are looking at the NV platform.
