At first I thought someone was selling my truck!

'95 Consiton with the R380 and all the goodies... cept my rear quarter panel trim is awesome thank you very much...and no sunroofs!!

I think the truck could be a good purchase ALL depending on what he spent that $$$ on in the past 15k miles. What has been done? HG, Steering pump, fuel pump, window ECU (small thing but annoying)...

I am completely biased but that is a great platform and worth $3000 all day ONLY if the maintenance of key issues has been done.

*** edit*** now that I finally looked at the CL ad and saw the list of repairs.... looks good to me.

What I know of is drive shaft couplers things?, fresh tires, new clutch master cylinder, head gaskets, lower-end bearings, water pump, radiator, brakes. says it goes 80 with no viberation. :coffeedrink: The more I read the more I want one of these things, I also know that I could be stepping into a workd of headakes, what can I say I am a gluten for punishment. I feel good about the car though, its owned by a LR nut and it comes with some rich history receipt wise...

Well I drove it.... door handles dont work without hitting the door in a special spot, oil light on at idle,:Wow1: loud lifter tick before, during, and after a short highway drive... clunky drive train. The xj is 100x more solid then this rig...

My guess is the lifter tick is really the cats rattling. Seems to be the case everytime I think I have a lifter making noise.
The oil light could be a fouled oil pump.
Not sure about the special "sweet" spot on the doors. That is a new one to me.

And Timmy! - 5 speeds always get better mileage than automatics. It may vary from truck to truck on the particular improved mileage.

I'd agree. The tick is probably a busted up cat. I've had that issue on two trucks. The rods inside the doors can be adjusted to make the doors work.

The oil light would bother me. I would not jump on the truck unless he put an actual oil pressure gauge on it to look at. My guess would be he can't figure out what's wrong with it after throwing money at it, and he's done.

I'm a Rover guy, but it makes no sense to me to dump a Jeep that you know for a Disco with issues.

Range Rover HSE 03

SORRY, I thought this was posting a new thread, I don't know how to move it. Let's consider it a comparable to the OP, sorry.

Hi, I was cruising through the Springfield, Mo. Craigs list and there is an 03 HSE with significantly updated information/entertainment center. The vehicle is very clean looking, says no dents, scratches, black and tan, etc. Asking $3,300. I know nothing about this, just found it.

Even I am tempted to call, it looks like a really nice ride for the money. Why so cheap?
That's thousands below what a comprable vehicle might be with respect to luxury,so at 10 mpg, seems like it would offer about 30K in milesfor the difference in another vehicle with better milage, IOW, value remaing to buy more gas.

I'm sorry that I can't post a link, the kids are not up!

FWIW, its probably a 93, not an 03. If someone is selling an 03 RR for $3,300, something is very wrong with it or it has 500,000 miles. Otherwise, the guy screwed up the price. Perhaps they're selling it for $13,300?? Its worth a call.
