Thanks for the guidance! I will post what I find out on this thread later on. There is not much info in the Web on aftermarket replacement struts for Baroud tents.
Quote from Baroud Portugal...
The struts are 56 euros EACH. Freight to Britsh Columbia from Portugal is 42 euros.
Ouch!
Looks like the aftermarket route is the way to go.
I have a Baroud Grand Raid XXL tent. Love it for the last 7 years that we owned it and it was used extensively for our family trips around the country.
The struts are appear to be getting old and hard to pop open the tent. I am thinking of tearing open the strut's fabric cover, and either...
My Baroud factory ladder is a similar two piece bulky design, ie, hard to stow inside the truck.
I changed to the telescoping ladder purchased on Amazon. I simply transferred Baroud's mounting hooks and riveted it to the new ladder as shown in the pic.

The narrowest awning that I have found is 1.25 meter wide (49 inches). I have one mounted in the back of my Land Rover.

I installed the Doghouse awning. It does indeed appear to be a very similar design to the Drifta Stockton 270 tent. For the CAN$900+ price, it offers the best value for me as someone who offroads once to twice a month during the summer and fall months.
Great value for a 270-deg awning. The...
I was just at DogHouseTent a couple of days ago and picked one up. I plan to mount it next week to get ready for my trip to Cabin Lake next weekend.
The awning arms looks similar to this Drifta awning:
