Narrow(est) awning?

I'm looking for a narrow awning to put on the back of my Jeep to kinda connect the tent to the back of the Jeep. I found one 4'6" (54") wide, but really I need one no wider than 44". Any wider and it would hit the awning mounted on the side of the Jeep. Any suggestions?

Could you mount it above the side awning or let the excess stick out past the passenger side? Not ideal but could work.

I have the ARB 4 foot-ish one off the back, any narrower and I would consider it worthless, even this doesn't get used much for shade, more for cooking in rain and my tailgate still gets wet

3 options I can think of:

1. Move the other awning forward until the rear awning will clear it and get a 48". Side awning position usually doesn't matter as much. This is the cheapest option.

2. Replace the existing awning with a 270 degree free standing (wing style) awning. Most expensive option.

3. Make your own. Jay from OVRLND suggested this to me and it worked well. You can attach some sunbrella to the rack using awning track and keder awning rope cut to 44":

I used the marine grade green sunbrella 60" wide. Hemmed it's about 58". Yours will have to be cut to 46" hemmed to 44". You will need some adjustable tent poles if you want it free standing. Grommets for the poles, tent stakes, rope, adjusters, and maybe some short sections of webbing to provide something to tie support ropes to. I used an aluminum angle bracket cut to 58" with 2 holes to provide support at the tent poles so it didn't sag.

The extra at the end can be tied out at an angle, rolled up and left on top, or dropped down like you see it to provide maximum shade for low sun angles or horizontal rain.

The hard part is finding someone who can sew and wants to take the time to do it. I found this guy Josh at https://www.outofmymindesigns.com/ in Carson City, NV who originally told me $60 but then when I went to pick it up he said $20 (!). I insisted on paying him $40 because $20 is way too cheap for the help he gave me with the design and sewing.

Right now the side awning just fits between the HAM antenna up front, and the CB antenna in the rear.

I've thought about a 270 degree awning, but I would need a short one (which they make), and one in which the poles in the rear don't interfere with the trailer tongue. Plus this one looks like you need the Rhino Rack roof rack to mount.

Or I could just park with the trailer at an angle so the rear poles don't interfere.

I might have to look into making one, or doing something with a tarp.

Thanks!
