Help with Lithium system - charging issues

Just to update this. The voltage is all over the place. Perhaps I’m reading too much into it but it does seem odd. Since the last post the voltage was sat at 13.3v as the vehicle hasn’t been moved and no load put on the battery. Vehicle was started and 20A went to the battery for about 30...

Help with Lithium system - charging issues

@jonyjoe101 Thanks, useful info. I assumed charging at 0.2C would be relatively slow, but perhaps that may be part of the problem. Checking the voltage today (after 24 hours of no charge/usage) and it's back at 13.3v (left at the 13.0v mentioned in the OP), which is 90% charged. Perhaps it took...

Help with Lithium system - charging issues

I have a Renogy 20a DC-DC charger connected to a Battleborn 100Ah battery and a Victron 712 to monitor the system. While we're driving around a lot, the battery does not seem to charge back up to full and stops charging soon after the car Is started. Voltage builds up to 14.4v pretty quickly...

New DC to DC Charger From Renogy-20 amps or 40 amps-Flooded/AGM/GEL/Lithium

I sent an email last night complaining about the price. The response today was that they’re not currently in their Canadian warehouse and are shipping direct form the US. They’ve added them to to the Canadian site early due to interest. Apparently when they arrive properly in September they'll...

New DC to DC Charger From Renogy-20 amps or 40 amps-Flooded/AGM/GEL/Lithium

They’re having a giraffe! No wonder they’re charging so much for delivery from the US. It basically makes them the same price. Definitely going to get it ordered to the US border and pick up when I get my GFC.

    '16 F150 Maintenance Schedule

I’d follow what’s in the manual or the official Ford website. Dealers are going to recommend things that don’t need doing to make extra money for theselves - case in point, my dealer rang me up a couple of weeks for an oil change, at 6 months after the last one, rather than the year... a lot of...

New DC to DC Charger From Renogy-20 amps or 40 amps-Flooded/AGM/GEL/Lithium

I’m in Canada. I’m hoping the heat may keep the battery above freezing. ;) How do most people keep their battery compartments cool? Must be a common issue? Good call on the incandescent bulb, although I’m not sure if I have one round any more. I think a thermometer controlled fan is going to...

New DC to DC Charger From Renogy-20 amps or 40 amps-Flooded/AGM/GEL/Lithium

I understand that, but the definition of small is what I’m asking for. I can’t see many electrical/battery compartments being much bigger than the one I have, hence the question. If needed I can set up a couple of 12v fans to exchange the air with the inside of the camper based on heat.

New DC to DC Charger From Renogy-20 amps or 40 amps-Flooded/AGM/GEL/Lithium

Forgot to mention in my earlier reply. They got back to me and said late August for the Canadian store now. I’m now considering the same, I may get it shipped to a border warehouse and pick it up when I go and get my camper (next month hopefully). I’m a four hour drive from Sweetgrass so not as...

    F150 - 5.5' vs. 6.5' bed?

The 6” difference between a 6’ and 6’5 bed truck doesn’t differentiate them enough IMO. I’d also argue that the”half cab” trucks still have plenty of space for rear passengers. They have the same legroom as most mid size cars, and more than the average non North American doublecab truck (Hilux...

    2016-2017 F150 4x4 EcoBoost - Real world experiences??

5.0 has the highest payload. For those of us that don’t tow that’s a plus.

    2016-2017 F150 4x4 EcoBoost - Real world experiences??

There’s actually only really three trim levels. XL, XLT, Lariat. XL - base, base, truck, add a few options with the STX option. XLT - mid level truck with most toys depending on package levels. (Around 70%+ of sales) Lariat - top level - King Ranch, Platinum and Limited are high packaged...

    2015 F-150 Adventure Rig

That’s the max payload for that configuration, add packages on top and you lose payload. As an example I have a 2017 supercab XLT, max payload is 2120lb, but my package gives 1900lb payload. Lariat package removes another couple of hundred or so. Hence the requirement to check the sticker...
