Body panels and Sika Flex help

Youll be better off posting this into one of the camper specific forums https://forum.expeditionportal.com/#expedition-campers.71

    Atl-atl's Alaskan 650si documentation thread!!

Some details on the prep work I did prior to getting the camper installed. The stock brake pads are horrendous on this truck, especially after going up to 40s. So I decided to try out new pads before blowing a whole wad on a big brake kit. My original intent was to run EBC Yellowstuff because...

    Atl-atl's Alaskan 650si documentation thread!!

    1. Actual weight on the tag is 2200 wet. See pic below. With misc. gear, food, etc. added its probably about 2500. 2. The tie downs are the "Happijac" system. They are nice because they are minimal compared to other tie downs but Ive been told that aggressive offroad driving will likely bend the...

Looking for a company for a complete off-road conversion with single wheels and more.

This might help. "Hello everyone, I bought a 2025 RAM 5500 yesterday. I want to have it completely modified, similar to the work done by Buckstop. This includes converting it to single rear wheels, a suspension lift kit, a bumper with a winch, and underbody protection. Unfortunately, Buckstop...

Atl-atl's 2024 Power Wagon documentation thread.

Thanks! I have learned this like 5 times over now at each website where I have a build thread hahaha. Im quite happy to still have BSM and rear cross traffic sensors.

An introduction and another stupid question

Wow, you can literally see that they used a phillips screw driver to hammer it down. You would put adhesive on both sides of the canvas, so it helps the canvas stick in place as you install it but also seals both sides of the canvas. If you follow the instructions they have you wait a bit after...

Yeah maybe "rut" is a poor choice of words haha. Especially with FWC, they seem to sell as quickly as they can build 'em. My neighborhood in Flagstaff has 75 homes and there are 7 people with FWCs!!

While I agree that Hallmark builds a high quality product they still look, feel, and smell like a boat inside. They are stuck in the same rut that Four Wheel Campers is. Their interiors are terrible. They look and feel and smell like rental RVs. On the other hand, Alaskan is stuck in a rut in...

An introduction and another stupid question

Youll have to painstakingly pull every one of those staples and replace them. Invest in a pneumatic stapler now haha. Also, when you reinstall the canvas you want to use this glue to seal it. Its readily available on amazon.

An introduction and another stupid question

I have used Truck Camper Garage, previously Poptop Overland, and independently Sacha at Seams So Fine(who is married to one of the owners of TCG) for multiple FWC canvas replacements. She is an excellent seamstress, good communicator and builds a quality product. She likely has more experience...

Well, here we go again! Atl-atl gets another Four Wheel Campers "Blazer"

Thanks! I forgot I started a thread here for this hahaha. Ive made a lot of progress but it has been slow going lately since we had a kid in March. I need to update this thread. Hopefully ill get to working on it again soon Nice! I keep the yellow K5 up in Flagstaff from ~April to ~October. I...

Atl-atl's 2024 Power Wagon documentation thread.

It definitely handles well. I havent taken it offroad much yet but on the highway its just fine. You certainly notice an extra 2500lbs in the bed but it still drives with 1 finger on the wheel at 80mph. Much less top heavy and affected by wind than my previous UJoint converted Thor 19G haha. Ive...

    Atl-atl's Alaskan 650si documentation thread!!

Alaskan or Truck Camper Garage would be able to answer with more confidence if you can fit a 650 with your tailgate. I think it will be close. As for measurements, when TCG installed it they trimmed down the "bumpers" on the front of the camper so that it only sits 3/4" from the front of the...
