When I had my top installed at the shop, I asked them about wiring it to the SPod. They said it wasn't really necessary, which I agree with after having seen everything done. The top has its own breaker/power switch right above the rear view mirror.

Also, make sure to inspect the paint yourself, especially if you color match the top. Check under the top, above where the front doors will be. Also along the bottom edges. I caught one problem in the paint before I left and they took it over to have it fixed, but I missed another issue.
