Coil springs have been done, but only as a one off build with lots of empirical R&D. Think pre-runner style suspension. Years back I heard he was willing to do suspension builds for folks, but $$ was around 130k.

Yeah, your earlier model might not have the capability. The manuals are out there in .pdf form, and they'll tell you how to do it. Could be a fuel filter, pcv filter, oil filter, etc. I'd start by doing all filters, all fluids, all PMCS, see where that leads you.

Low oil might do it. Or a hundred other things, only way to start to know is pull the codes. The OBDII scanners you normally find won't work, you need either a STAR scanner system, or find a shop with a medium duty/heavy duty shop that can pull the codes. STAR scanner system, when I had to buy...

Good possibility it's your soft brake hoses that are swelling internally and preventing bleed off. I replace hoses every five to eight years or so, on all vehicles.

If it's getting hard to clamber into those cabs, you sound like me. One big issue I had was also the ride quality. Even with the suspension upgrades, tire and wheel upgrades, etc, there'd be plenty of hits to the back during a road trip. I'm not getting any younger, neither is the wife, and...

Yeah, those 2.8's disappeared pretty rapidly, didn't they? I think they made sense in the smaller rigs, but those FUSO trucks will run about 7 tons fully loaded. There's no replacement for displacement.

I'd rather have a Cummins in it, but anything is an upgrade over that POS Mitsu/MB/Fiasco abortion of a drivetrain. It's still gonna ride like crap though. :ROFLMAO:
