Good to see another person with these tires. In the C rating, do they have the thicker sidewalls that stick out like the E rated or are they flat like the P-rated? Really hope they're the more aggressive versions. What tire size are you running?
So stoked for you! Glad my videos helped. Sounds like you really thought out all the customizations you wanted them to do. Very cool. I love that their windows are tinted. You could clearly see out, but during the day it's almost impossible for someone to look inside. Even if you have a light on...
Guys! Quick question about tire rating and the weight of these builds. For a truck like a 1st gen Tundra, 350lb camper with a few hundred pounds of gear and build... Would you recommend I stick with e-load 10 ply tires or try out some 6 ply c-load tires? I currently run 255/80/17 E loads and...
Hi! Besides the cost savings, I opted for the OVRLND/Project M style camper that sits on the bed rails instead of a slide-in camper because of the DIY floorplan. I have a family of 4 and we still wanted to use the truck as a truck... think... groceries, hockey bags (super wide and bulky), beer...
I sleep 4 in my OVRLND Campers and it's been great.
3 up top and my oldest sleeps on a platform below. They also offer a "chubby" version now that's wider than the truck. Of course sleeping space for four depends on the length of your truck bed. My first gen Tundra is 74".
That was a great walkthrough. Gave me some more ideas. How did you route the propane line to the inside? Quick disconnect or just feed the entire hose through a hole?
What did the OP decide on?
I have an OVRLND Campers pop up camper that I absolutely love. The company lets you do a lot of customization during manufacturing. I opted to have a higher cabover so I can fit more bedding up there when it's collapsed. I side effect benefit of this is the entire...
If anyone is interested... I ended up mountain a flexible solar panel onto my OVRLND camper roof with heavy duty Velcro and RV tape, as recommended by a company that does these installs often. It allows for airflow and water hasn't looked up yet. Here's a write-up I did over at my site...
Beautiful truck man! I just got back from a
1500 mile trip to Utah and my FGT did absolutely fantastic through desert and snow. What a trip that was. Mine is pushing 200k miles. Where are you at on the miles?
So just to get this right you had them originally make you a flat wall for the rear? Or you just completely removed whatever doors or hatch they installed and put up your own wall and door?
