Between the weather and working on new car reviews for my YouTube channel, the Sonoma hasn't received much progress lately. That will change once it warms up a bit!
Last week, I did get the snow cleaned off and pulled the truck into the sunlight. I'm still loving this color.
My coworker/car buddy just picked up a GMC EV truck yesterday and is selling his 2014 F150 XL w/ 3.7L V6 4x4. He's the second owner and the first owner always had it serviced at the dealership. Optional 3.73 gears, 184k miles.

I purchased a Tesla Model Y last year and the buying experience was phenomenal. Zero pressure, mostly done on my phone, and signing and paperwork took 15 minutes. It would have been 5-10 minutes had it not been our first time.
10/10, would recommend.
These are about the best prices in the US, but I use Granger Ford for reality checks on what's feasible for F150 prices.
In the US, you can't get the 3.5TT in the STX, but Granger's prices for STX trims are decent. Simple. F150.
There has been 29% inflation in less than 8 years. $43k today...
Pre-Covid STX wasn’t as well equipped as today’s STX.
I’m seeing them, with 4wd, for mid-$40’s. You guys are certainly right about MSRP, which is crazy high, but current prices are about $9-10k off MSRP. And yes, if you want adjustable pedals, bed camera, etc., it certainly adds up quick!
The F150 STX trim is low to mid-$40k, which isn't that bad.
That's as affordable as it's going to get due to the Government printing and spending a ton of money, with zero signs of slowing down the spending.
I hear you, Mike. I told my wife that I'll buy her a new RAV4 when her '21 needs replaced (likely will go to our oldest), but I'm done buying new for myself. I also think we may buy a lower trim level next time.
Like VintageRacer Mike said, I've decided to get off the bus. I reviewed a 2025...
The prices will remain high.
Compensation may catch up a little, but without deflation or relaxing some regulations (long term), you're trying to get blood from a turnip. The OEMs aren't just pricing the vehicles high because they think people will pay it.
Not yet. But the companies were being forced to make them (and try to sell them) in order to reach CAFE standards, else they had to pay financial penalties.
My coworker bought one for his wife, an Elite trim. It is a LOT of car for the money. The ride is great, although you get some tire noise from the 31" General Grabbers. The configurability of the dash (Google maps in the display!) and the interior quality is fantastic. The only thing that's...
EVs are awesome at what they are good at. Tesla is still the leader in most aspects. If you think Elon is problematic, well, that's certainly a prerogative.
Hybrids are probably the best option for a plurality of Americans. Hybrid is a broad term, and some manufacturers are way better at them...
