there is a program online that lets you punch in your tire specs and tells you how much faster or slower you will go if you change up your tire size. in order to get another 8 or 9 mph I had to increase my tire/rims to 20" which I'm guessing is not really an option. I'll try to find the link..
OK so I get about 53 mph at 2500 rpms right now on 16 inch wheels and a rear diff at like 6.1 or so. How does that compare to other trucks out there? I'm wondering if its an excuse to trade up and get a newer one with a 6 speed possibly...

Interested to hear what the gears are like in canters from any of the guys not in north america. Its always discouraging here in the states to browse the web and see all the cool stuff the rest of the world uses.
Anyway - bigger tires... so simple I never even thought of it...
Anyone ever mess with rear diff to get a little higher top end? dealer said no way. I'm making a dirt bike hauler / camper but its just too slow to go across the country in a reasonable time.
