Thanks to the member who noted Mercedes makes an E350. They are definitely quieter and have a much smoother ride. Ad has been updated to add the word "FORD"
This is a former Central California truck. The pics show it is super clean underneath. It has only 31k original miles. It has the Duramax 6.6L with the 6 speed Allison. While it is a 2007, it does have a DPF and ULSD requirement. It is currently in Redmond, Oregon and ready for someone to thow a...
Going thru my workshop I found two new in box Wagner ANA682R brake shoe sets. That is what is needed to do both front and rear. I have not owned a Fuso in over six years, and would hate to see these not get used. One box appeared to be previously opened, so I took a pic of the shoe

@UjointoffroadCO strikes again! After completing the front clip upgrade, I reached out to Justin at U-joint CO and bought a front bumper. It has been sitting in my driveway for a couple of weeks covered in snow. The day before Thanksgiving I decided to begin the install. I purchased the...
Changing the fuel filter on an E-Series 7.3L diesel is moderately difficult because there is not much room to work with and you have all kinds of stuff in your way. The fuel bowl is buried in the valley right on top of the HPOP. I have seen some YT videos of people deleting the fuel bowl, adding...
I, too, bought one of the 2007 Fusos from the wildland fire fighting company in Bend, OR. These trucks were not abused and were meticulously maintained. I have long since sold mine (I think in 2018), but the current owners stay in touch. Outliers Overland They have not had any mechanical issues...

I will have a document soon that will show step by step this entire process. In the meantime, the only bracket I had to make was for the upper fender mounting points. There were two on the 2003 and the 2008+ has a different design. So I took a piece of alum rectangular stock 1"X2", cut it to...
Here is a pic showing it nearly finished. Need to figure out blinkers and parking lights. Need to install new hood release cable (temp one hidden in bumper). More details tomorrow.
I have figured out the headlight wiring. I had three wires on the 2003 going to the headlight: red/black (low beam), black (ground), and green/black (high beam). The connector on the new lights has numbered pins 1 (low beam), 2 (ground), 3 (high beam).
By the way this is a good time to upgrade...
To finish the project, I am ordering the U-Joint "2008 & Up" front bumper. Pic from U-Joint site below

@grpeterson Great advice to get the updated cross member(1), left and right upper cross member grill support bracket (2 and 3), and the two support brackets that hold the trans cooler, power steering cooler, and provides additional grill support points (4 and 5). For 2 & 3 you could get away...
OMG, thanks so much. I have the fenders and hood mounted and was struggling with how the remaining parts would mount. Everything so far has been relatively straightforward. Nothing is bolted down tight, yet and I have stopped for the day as well.
I have gathered all of the necessary parts and watched a number of YT videos on the front clip swap. I have noticed that a new hood latch and longer cable are necessary. I have also noted that most people build an adapter plate to mount the new hood latch. Has anyone done this? Will you share...
