Same here but for my usage payload was more important, worst it's ever seen is a mild logging road. I carry a warrior "winch in a box" for emergencies, I highly recommend these to anyone who doesn't want the added weight of a bumper but needs a winch
Oh I'm familiar, I was terrified at 1st after seeing the carnage. The COG is actually just off center of the axle with the way it sits so I'm not too concerned, and I've talked to a guy with a much heavier (9k total) setup on the same truck and he's doing okay so I put those worries to rest...
Here are the specs. It hangs out about 6" beyond the box but I have it resting on 4X4 that are placed over the bed supports so the tailgate is not taking any of the weight. I've also removed a few things like the water tank so the wet weight it gives will be a little heavier than what I'm...
It rolled the scrap yard scale at around 5500 unloaded iirc and 6880 is for sure the loaded number with the camper, myself, all the gear, the dog. and a half tank of fuel. I was definitely trying to stay under the 7k GVWR the door sticker says is allowable. I have a set of E rated 285/75/18 A/T...
It's like they used a punch and hammered it down to pinch the fabric. There is nothing there and it's not a hole all the way through.
I'd like to take a moment to admire this crackheads work 😂.
I'd like to say this is surprising, but in comparison to the other hack jobbies I've found in this...
Upon closer investigation it appears there are not actually staples there, just the damage left behind from them being shot in and pulled out. I'm going to take that as a win, pulling them out did not sound like good times.
The adhesive is for sealing the canvas to the track? The track to the...
This does sound very convenient. I also like the idea of being able to deflate a bag when unloaded to soften things back out. Is the system independently valved? My only experience with any air ride was some adjustable shocks on a 76 Torino that I had hooked to a schrader valve.
My current set-up is pretty sketchy, it consists of a bone stock 2018 tundra with a 1500# (roughly) pop up camper thrown in the back kinda willy nilly. I'm slowly building up the rig as my budget allows and I'm at the point where I have too many options and it's getting overwhelming. For...
I found a local shop that is willing to take on the project, Jamison tops and upholstery LLC. I don't think I'll have an issue removing the material from the camper itself, pretty sure I just unscrew the tracks along the top and bottom but what do y'all make of these staples? I guess I just pull...
The canvas itself is in great condition for its age and being in the AZ sun for an unknown time. My issue is the plastic windows are tearing at the zipper seams and have a quite a few cuts in them.
It's hard to describe and I'm unable to find any pictures, but I've seen people build a back wall that tucks in under the glass on the cap and rests on the tailgate. It gives you that extra lil cubby to tuck your feet into kinda like the bump outs on a camper van.
PS. Nice collection, and that...
