Having used a soft shell "clam" style for 13 years and now a new hard shell wedge for a few trips, the hard shell wedge is way easier to set up and take down. You still have to walk around and tuck in fabric when closing it up, but no where near as much as the soft shell. And no super annoying...

Necro thread update... Costco.ca no longer shows Runva winches, but Home Depot.ca and Rona do. HD shows the 11XP-S at $787 CDN, which I think is quite a bit less than what Costco was selling them for way back? But... "out of stock" so... Rona lists the 11XP (with steel though not synthetic)...

So you use the Exped AND a foam mattress? I'm hoping to use just one medium. The old set up had the OEM 2-3" foamie and we added another foam topper above it. It helped for sure, but was still on the thin side.
