coil-over springs versus leaf springs on E350 camper

Biggest benefit to leaf sprung is it isn't coil sprung, and biggest benefit to coil sprung is it isnt leaf sprung! :D In all seriousness, while coil sprung allows for (much) tighter turning radius and better ride for the same load capacity, its largest downfall is the potential for death...

    eye opener about gvwr

I call BS, unless you can link a source in CA code for such a requirement/law. If it were commercial, all day long. But noncommercial, utter BS. Again, source a link and Ill believe it (even being CA), but until then, you are spewing utter BS.

    eye opener about gvwr

Yep, totally agree as a 10k GVWR truck will most likely have a full float rear axle. Anything less IMO is trouble, if you are planning on hauling heavy. Food for thought, we run 20% <------- you read that right, over our max GVWR, and have done so for 50k miles without issue. We do stay within...

    eye opener about gvwr

For those that still think GVWR is entirely related upon components, Ill just leave this here. For those that know, much of the GVWR nonsense, especially in the 3/4 and 1-ton pickup world, is related to regulatory/taxing, as depending upon regulatory $$ involved, MFGs do a dance around that...

    Truck camper winch advice

I can tell you, as another that hauls heavy (right about 12k wet) all the winch in the world wont help you sometimes. :ROFLMAO: That said, we run a 15,500 Smittybilt, that has paid for itself may times over. Just not this time. This time we were saved by an awesome group of volunteers...

    The Heap. A Gen 2 Tracker/Vitara Build

Long time coming, but this is the reality. This setup rocks. We spent 5 days in NorthIdaho backcountry. Truck & camper got us close, Tracker took us the rest of the way. It certainly turned some heads, getting to places guys figured was only accessible by side by sides :ROFLMAO:

F350 SD FX4 6.2 fuel economy with hard side TC?

We run heavier than most, and certainly not within the max GVWR, (still within axle and tire limits) but done right I've never felt the need for dual rear axle. And running year round with the camper in NorthIdaho a single rear wheel truck is simply safer, especially unloaded. That, and a dual...

F350 SD FX4 6.2 fuel economy with hard side TC?

2011 6.2, 6-speed. Factory 3:73s with 35" toyos. We typically weigh in at 11-12k wet, and see 8MPG average. 10-12 MPG entirely (flat) highway.
