I probably should have indicated I did not read the article.
I completely agree with that last statement. My early forays into this surprised me when I discovered wind resistance has a much higher relation to poor fuel mileage than weight. I could tow a flatbed with flat steel at say 6,000...
I am not well versed in this area but it seems you should have either received a large up front payment for your brands use or an ongoing license fee. Or even both. Sounds like you are getting nothing. I would contact the company and let them know of the issue if you haven't already.
That (lifting off the gas) isn't completely true. A horizontal tear drop shape at the back is proven to improve aerodynamics. Also, I forget what they are called but there are "wind deflectors/channelers" that big rigs use on the back of their trailers (I think I created a post on the topic a...
You don't have it unless you include a picture. ;)
I have a RZR and went with the flip up windsheild to maximize airflow. The top 3/4 flips up to maximize wind.
Here it is flipped up. I have the bottom part off because I was washing it.
True but I am sure there are a few here interested...
Sounds like insulating first will most likely prevent any issues. Right now the roof is just galvalume so it is like a radiator in the summer. Putting in some radient barrier and the 2" xps should resolve that.
If the chip went through the fiberglass I would just use bondo with fiberglass in...
The one i had in the garage was in direct sunlight on a 100 degree day. The camper isn't currently insulated so in the summer it is like an attic. 140 wouldn't surprise me. But i guess i insulate it first and that would help a lot.

Oh, one more question. How does coroplast do in extreme heat? Plastic drawers like what rruff used don't last in the heat in the houston area. I have had some in my insulated garage get too hot and then they don't stay in the plastic frame properly so you end up trashing them. It will be even...
Very interesting. I will add it to my list of considerations.
Did you ever make a drawer without using aluminum angle? Just VHB tape coroplast together. If yes, what made you start using the angle?
Yeah I agree. I plan to build my inside out this summer and I think seeing @rruff's build gave me much better simplification ideas. One major thing I was contemplating was the drawers. I don't want metal due to condensation and wood gets heavy fast. So now I am thinking plastic bins for drawers...
