Interesting. I was always under the assumption that Ford and Ram both did TPIS in their 3500 and up platforms. Maybe a certain year cutoff Ford did it on the 4500 and up now. Hmm
Are you sure it's TPMS vs TPIS?
TPIS is information only, TPMS is monitoring and has alerts that cannot be turned off when under recommended pressures.
The TPIS doesn't care, it gives you the same information, just without the alerts and dash lights.
I'm looking at that currently. I'm also going to look at one soon that is for sale for 1k, it's the newest version so I'm not sure what all was changed, but it's what is avaliable. If I can fit a motorcycle or a 4wheeler in back and still get a kayak on I'll be stoked.
More parts have come in. And I'm so ready to get them on. This truck is in DIRE NEED of suspension and steering parts. It wanders worse than any truck I've ever owned. This will be as much of a MASSIVE improvement as it will be a massive job to complete. I'll need to remove the entire front end...
