Glad I could help! Pathfinder built a subframe out of 1/8" steel that mounted to the inside of the "framerails", and that's what the suspension mounted on.

I've honestly never checked mileage..... I'd guess probably somewhere around 10mpg? She'll cruise 70 @ 2200 rpm

Yup! We wheel it at least 2-3 times a month, unless it's broken.... lol

We've proven it's offroad prowess and know what the old girl is capable of, so now I'm trying to make it more "camper" friendly. Time to start on the interior... I had to cut my swivel seat bases as they were for a ford van, so we did a quick chop and weld and I installed some free chevy...

I converted a chevy G-van, which is a unibody, and I wheel the SNOT out of it (probably harder than 99% of 4x4 vanners). I figure if this old unibody can hold up to the abuse I put it through, EITHER ONE of the newer ford OR chevy van frames will be just fine. Pick the van that suits you the...

Superduty axles are a great option for the solid axle crowd, they also usually use the coils and radius arms. I don't see any problems with that...

You can download a plugin for firefox or google chrome that will allow you to see all of the pics. I put up a post somewhere in here about it, do a quick search for "photobucket fix" and it should pop up.

Go read my build thread for my van (The Lunchbox Build), it's very documented with tons of pictures, and it will give you an idea of what you're up against. Just to let you know though, 4x4 vans aren't cheap in any way. I paid $200 for my van body, then another $13k on parts, and hundreds of...
