Even more amazing than your incredible front bumper. Been learning to weld for the last couple of years while working on my trailer, but seeing your pics just makes me want to buy your instead. I have an understanding now for some of the effort it takes and I'm blown away by what you've put...
I've got a modified Sears David Bradley which I added a moto rack to. I carry a WR450 on the tongue, TTR125 on the hitch and a CRF50 in the bed.
Tongue weight is definitely effected, but takes more careful loading.
Great looking hundo. You're moving along quickly with the mods. The TJM profile looks a lot more slim than I've seen. The rest of the adds look spot on. I've been lurking...I got an 02 myself, but have been distracted by an expo trailer, and a semi built 3rd gen runner.
Keep up the good work...
I love the Bowman Lake area and camp there often. You are very fortunate to live where you do, as I typically leave the Bay Area around 8pm and get to camp around 1:00am! Some day I'll move to your neck of the woods.
Great pictures and details in this report!
Great work on the trailer. I think the tail lights look awesome...very original. If you don't like the look, consider just changing out the lights themselves with some fancy looking LED ones...lots of stuff out there.
Wow...amazing trailer build. You really went all out on the custom tent setup. It is very impressive. Your original idea of mounting your KTM to the trailer was what caught my eye as I'm looking to carry a couple of motoz on my little trailer as well. I'm thinking of going with one on the...
Nice Looking Trailer!
I really like the changes you've made so far. The adjustable rack is awesome. Looking forward to seeing how you go about mounting the lift struts and raising the tent up and down. I'm struggling with how to attached a rack to my trailer in such a way that I can carry...
I don't know your intended use (s) for this little trailer, but at 46-inch width, it kills me that I can't lay a sheet of plywood or sheetrock flat in my trailer. I would extend the axle if I were you.
What a a great view into your adventure. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. With my boys ages 1 and 4, I'm looking to get them out an a longer offroad journey soon. For now, I settle for the camping and day trips as you may have if you had started at White Bark Vista. Thanks again...
Great looking trailer you've built there.
You're the first I've seen with a family of 4 in an RTT. I'm trying to steer my family in this direction as we've been building up a camping trailer too. Just wasn't sure how it would sleep all of us. My wife and two young boys already love to camp...
Hi Bob,
I do get out into the Sierras several time a year. We usually go to the Bowman Lake area and camp at Sawmill. While I'd certainly like to get out and explore more (especially with like-minded individuals and similar vehicles), I usually end up camping with my family (3.5y and 10mo old...
This is my work in progress trailer build. Started as a David Bradley, but lots of changes made over the past year.
These photos are on the Deer Lake trail above the Downieville area in California.
Very Nice little trailer! Now that you've taken the trailer on a couple of trips, what do you think of the suspension setup? What leaf springs did you end up going with from ABC Trailer? I have a little David Bradley that I've begun to mod for camping. My favorite spot requires travel on a...
