You are right they do. The context of this thread was for emergency communication. And for that GMRS and HAM simply are not capable of providing that, except under very specific situations. Which do not apply to 99.99% of people 99.99% of the time, making them a non option. Shawn

Thats not really true Starlink can definitely be used for rescue, especially with DTC rolling out. What it is not is a one button call for help, as is the garmin. I have been a garmin fanboy for decades, and currently have have and use inreach. Starlink is just simply better and more...

I did miss something. I missed that the lippert was 2 axis and not just back and forth. The t slot idea would only work in one axis, easily. :oops:

The table already comes with a mount to the pedestal. Why cant that be used? The mount already has screw holes in it to attach it to the table, you run the clamp through the holes into the t slot that you mount to the table. Or am I missing something?
