My cousin named her spaniel puppy jellybean.
Went out pheasant hunting with my uncle on one those club fields where they plant the birds so there are a lot of other hunters around.
Pretty funny to hear him yelling jellybean all morning.
What's the issue with the current canvas? If you post a...
What do you plan to use 4wd for?
For $35k, you can buy a decent full size 4x4 and camper already setup. Not much storage for full time living though.
If I was living full time, I'd shoot for comfort. Good bed, shower, toilet, gear storage.
I'd do a stealth 12' single rear wheel gm 4.8 or 5.3...
Was mostly thinking about the space tradeoff and how you might be able to fit them into various crannies.
Wouldn't work as Well for an AC unit but offers redundancy.
Maybe more efficient if you're running a smaller single load. You could leave the additional inverter(s) turned off.
Peter&margaret. Do you have a build thread going?
Question for kdanz. Is your truck diesel or gas? I've had a hard time starting a diesel in Wyoming when it gets really cold so if you can use it to preheat your engine that would be a benefit.
I'm not an electronics wiz and have a general curiosity. Regarding your previous design considerations for switching to the larger inverter and trying to find space for it. Could you have added an additional smaller inverter or two and run an additional AC circuit or two?
Since you are weighting two different use cases, you cant really pit them against each other.
The blazer is cool if you love doing projects. In the end, driving a classic car here and there on a lark doesn't have much appeal to me. It's just a thing and requires a lot of insurance and...
Those look great. Thanks for the suggestion. Seems like a great upgrade for the cabin heat especially running at night.
I will need to order a different heater controller that interfaces with it.
Same. I've been on my lid a couple times in my old crawler buggy and another time in my buddies jeep. The jeep was more violent and it rattled me for a while. Was wearing a helmet all 3 times.
I mostly use 100% kerosene up at the ski hill. Sometimes 50/50 blend. I picked up a good amount of it for free at the hazmat disposal site.
Unfortunately I don't have any real observations to report other than I haven't had any issues with the diesel heaters.
