The moveable portion of the swing out is what twists. So then the receiver part of the moveable portion goes up and down. Then that is amplified at the top of the bike rack and it bounces forward and back. (If that makes any sense!)
My van does ride pretty rough though so that is part of it...
I like the swing out. I did one similar.
Unfortunately the top bar of mine twists a bit with the full weight on it and kind of bounces. Maybe if it was shorter it wouldn’t be an issue. Trying to figure out a patch for that.
I used cut down angle iron as L brackets with a hole drilled for the bolts. Welded brackets to the bottom of the frame. Then used nuts on the top side of the bolts so you have to get an arm and a wrench up there to loosen them.

For the work light I would think any led flood light would work great. Probably pretty cheap too. Tons of shapes and sizes are available.

It’s a dual voltage multi process machine.
It’s been a couple years and several projects and is still working well. I haven’t had any issues with it.
I’ve really only used the mig function.
