Russian vs. German Lada
The Nivas made today are still Russian built, but ours was adjusted for Germany, where we bought it. It has better corrosion protection, is sealed so you can go through water without getting wet and has at least some electronics, to make it fulfil German pollution...

That's right, there are 3 sticks altogether. The second is to shift from hi-gear to lo-gear. The third will lock the differential. In a Niva it's all manual and all mechanical. There are no buttons or automatic differential locks etc.
