Hey PNy and andy_b thanks for you input on these threads. I have question.....how high was the the flatbed over the stock PU bed height? I heard CM is about 4-5" higher than stock.
We have a hard side TC and height is critical to get it in our garage door.
Interesting topic for me since I'm sort of going down the same rabbit hole.
This might seem dumb, but on DRW, could one put on longer studs and say a 1/2" or more spacer to reduce tire rubbing if the tires are aired down? I realize from comments above this is a rarity.
One sees lifted DRW with...
"How many summers do you have left?" I read that recently. We've put off the AK trip for two summers. We're not look forward to the fuel expense, but we're going.
I've enjoyed your build thread a lot. I'd love to do it myself. However, it will take too much time away from our travel plans. My...

This is a great build thread.
Camperthing...love the suspension etc build. I'm really curious about your layout ideas for the camper cabin. Will you access from the cab? Side entry I assume?
Go by and electrical supply house. Remodel electricians have been doing it that way for years. Drill extensions are available in many different lengths.
I guess that is steel? As opposed to aluminum. We did get the aluminum version for our F-350. The 90 lb difference seemed worth it at the time. Buckstop builds nice stuff.
Finally bought a 7000 and it's great. Much quieter than the fan it replaced. A remote might seem over the top, but when the location is over the bed, it's handy. The one draw back IMO is that the only way to have the shroud up when the fan isn't running is to manually raise it. Kind of a dumb...

Good point. There's a heat wave up there now, so a shroud or max fan might not be needed. Still, I might do the Maxx just to have it and maybe have it be overkill rather than otherwise.
Last summer, we got a river permit and a friend offered us the use of his TC. We were hooked. We bought a...
