Well I can't complain about there products. I know they have been working on the arching issue for a while with spacers underneath the terminals on the batteries. That fell through and the coating on the tray top was there solution for the fix. I think imho it is a great solution to it.
This is Columbia Overland's dual battery kit for a 01-04 installed on my 04 taco. They had problems with customers arching the positive terminals on the top plate of the tray (used to be bare).
This is what they came up with to rectify the problem.
No more arching. Problem solved.
Only thing I wish the aux tank came with is a sender and gauge so I don't have to calculate reserve in the aux tank. I do like the idea of a flow switch that would help with the problem of knowing if the tank is empty in case I don't pay attention to the fuel stock. The math to it is pretty...
