They probably had to peel out a crap load of import tariffs (currently at 45%) and have to pass it on to the American consumer. Better get used to it, anything coming into the USA is hit hard with tariffs.
The raised floor in the seating area was dictated by the height of the storage compartments and seating ergonomics. It ended up as just an empty space. It was also nice to have that space to install extra structure to mount the table leg.
Thank you. Still lots of fine tuning on the inside left to do. Outside needs storage boxes. Need more time in the day to start building them with composite panels :-)
Like so many other overland vehicles that are currently for sale, ours has had interest but no real offers. Therefore we are making a bold move with a massive price drop to reflect the market situation! I need the parking space and it's killing me that the Transit is just sitting around...
For drawing water from a lake or stream, we use the Guzzle Stream overland-bundle-water-filtration-purification-system . This system is rugged and self contained.
When a tap is available we go even simpler with the ALB filter alb-filter-mobil-active-drinking-water-filter-with-geka-connection ...

We had it a several Overland expos, Overland rallies as our family campout rig. Not as a showcase in a booth. Never meant to be that.
Overall height is a bit over 11'.
Haven't driven it over a scale in a long time but remember having ~1000lb to spare while fully loaded with 3 people...
