Greeting All

We had to discontinue production in 2022 simply because, at the time, we couldn’t meet demand with the manufacturing and supply chain operations we had in Bend. But a lot has changed over the past 12 months.

The MOD is now making a comeback — and will be available through select distributors.
Designed to fit just about any truck sold in North America, regardless of bed size. It features a modern, aerodynamic, one-piece composite body — no joins, no seams, just strength and simplicity.

Manufactured in North America.
Designed and engineered by EarthCruiser Innovation in Bend, Oregon.

Pricing is anticipated to be much more agreeable, too.

I see that "GZL" and hope it's got the bones of the Gazelle you were making a few years back. I was at Overland Expo Flagstaff in, I guess, '18 or '19, and among so many same-same set-ups that was the one product I was actually impressed by, enough to consider a pick-up slide-in camper as a possible choice for me. The aspect that stood out to me was the ease of ingress with the overhung back and drop-down ladder, you could walk in and out like a human instead of having to climb onto the tailgate then ducking thru a too-tiny door, or needing a ladder to get into a hard-to-reach portal. Because when we're camping, we're in and out of the rig constantly. The interior layout was efficient and sensible, like the cabins of the small boats I grew up on, but unlike them it felt airy and well-lit. I'm glad to see you're back on the market with this.

Any chance a flatbed version will ever make it to production?
Oh yes.
This is probably the best part of how we do things now.
Flatbed for the MOD400 is drawn and tooling mostly done. I am not sure we will have a 300, medium trucks do struggle to carry the weight after a decent tray is fitted.
Couple more fun things in the pipeline to.

EarthCruiser update -

Greetings fellow travelers and adventurers,

We know it’s been quiet—and some thought we were gone.
We’re not. In fact, we’re just getting started again. Our tough transition is behind us, and we’ve emerged with a more sustainable approach that benefits both longtime and future EarthCruiser owners.

After delivering the last vehicle still on our build schedule, we officially closed the chapter on building everything under one roof here in Bend Or. It was tough—mistakes, hard lessons, and all—but we’re better for it.

Years of designing, testing, and building have taught us what really matters: a tight-knit crew, quality engineering, and the importance of culture in craftsmanship. Now, we’re putting that experience into a smarter way of building and delivering EarthCruisers.

We’ve partnered with small, independent manufacturers across North America who share our values. For the first time, we’re giving these teams structurally complete EarthCruiser “houses” to finish locally. This means more options, shorter lead times, better pricing—and more access to EarthCruiser innovation than ever before.

You’ll get to know these talented builders through new pages on our site and media channels. We’re highlighting their work in real time—craftsmanship in action.

Meet the Builder Partners Here

We’re starting with MOD slide in campers and the very popular Terranova available on a number of chassis options. CORE 4x4 systems for the Isuzu are also available for order from our build partners right now. The long-awaited EVADO is just around the corner, followed by a range of towable options. Limited runs of the classic EXP and FX will still be available.

Used EarthCruisers will be listed for sale by owners on our website in the near future, again with support from our partners around the country.

We’ve been here since the early days of overlanding in the U.S., and we’re still here—building gear you can trust, and standing behind it.

If you’ve dreamed of owning an EarthCruiser or upgrading, now might be the time. And if someone you know has wondered what happened to us, feel free to share this update.

Thanks for being part of the ride.
After 17 years, maybe we’re just getting started.

Very best,
Lance and Michelle - the founders of EarthCruiser
