I had a 1990 4runner with a 22RE and a 5 speed. I think it was only available in 90 though. All; the same stuff as later model first gens but with the gen 2 body.
As I said, you guys seem to really like this stuff.
IMHO running people down for asking questions is a good way to run off new enthusiasts and a good way to lose sponsors for this board.
Fewer people on the board = less chance of reaching customers = no sponsors = pay site/no site
I realize...
Can I just put it out there that SeaRubi is not an asset to this discussion and his replies are not in the spirit of this forum.
I suggest the Moderator of this forum take a look at his posts and consider some sort of action.
Absolutely ridiculous. No one deserves to be treated like that...
Klierslc I am happy for you. You may have gotten a good one. I got the lemon.
I am not an idiot by the way. Every time I tow the OD is turned off. That doesn't help when you are going down the freeway at 70 (not towing) in the middle of ********* nowhere and your transmission grenades from a known...
I have had both.
I currently have a 2002 Sequoia 4X4 Limited. I primarily got this vehicle rather than a Cruiser because I wanted to haul my 21' boat with it. The Sequoia has a higher tow rating so I went that way.
Let me start off by saying I love how the Sequoia drives. The thing is super big...
Damn! With all this press they should be sponsoring this site! :)
It is by far the best root beer I have ever tasted. Agreed on the cream soda though, just so-so.
Someone should take a screen shot or copy this thread and send to them and see what they say!
Forget Mo's!
If you are in Newport go to Sharks. Its on the west end of the bay front. I get the "combo pan roast". Its like a mix between of a chowder and a cioppino with oysters, dungeness crab and prawns. They cook it to order in a submarines steam kettle. AMAZING! One of my top 3 restaurants...
Yeah, I tried for both of those but they were already full. :( I really wanted to do White Crack in the middle. Bummer.
Anyway, we will just have a long day between the two.
Just a few words on some of the different cases mentioned. I have used virtually all the cases mentioned except the Zargas Cases. We use them for transport of underwater equipment and ship them all over the world.
Pelican: Strong! Heavy. Best case for hard core rugged use or for heavy stuff. The...
You could use teak but it is expensive and to get the best results to need to coat it with Tung oil that can be pretty nasty stuff (explosive).
I would go with thin Mahogany plywood, maybe 1/4" to 1/2" depending on how much support you have. You should be able to get a sheet of that for $25...
Thanks Spence.
I am thinking that I would just replace everything rubber in the entire vehicle (hoses on the engine, brake hoses, tires etc...)
I am waiting for Icebox to chime in here since he is just up the road from me :)
OK, so I bit the bullet and went and had a look at this sucker yeaterday!
-So here is the condition:
The van has been sitting in AZ for at least 5 years. It was used as a dog grooming van before that and the inside is set up for that. The thing is big, and has a ton of room inside. Much larger...
You guys are kidding yourselves if you think a flimsey West Marine Battery box is going to hold up during offroad travel. Those things barely hold up in my boat. They are too thin, too flexible, and get brittle in the sun. If the ARB box is that light weight I would never buy it.
The National...
