@Winterpeg the extension can just be twisted off, rendering the lock useless. There is a lot of information on this on the forums. I think since you have the large cans, if you are using two mounts then you may not have this issue. Here is a video showing what I am talking about:
From...
@outback97 thanks for the tips. 3d printing sounds like a really cool idea! If I don't "lock" my Rotopax, then I could go with their new FuelPax line, which includes mounting hardware. It's made cheaper than Rotopax though so I don't know if thats a good idea, and it doesn't support the...
I am investigating fuel storage. I want to keep at least 8 gal extra outside the vehicle. I looked at the Rotopax 4Gal fuel containers with Locking Mounts. I can attach these to a mount that lays flat on my roof rack (FrontRunner Slimline II). There seems to be a decent amount of people...
@Ace Brown those Aliners are very interesting. I like how you can store them in a typical garage. Do you find yourself making a lot of compromises because of its limited off road capability or no? Which particular year/model do you have, how much did it cost, and how have things been holding...
Nice looking trailer, I saw that for sale, you got a great deal on it. Can you elaborate on the dual water tank, does it create any issue if so what? Also, I don't understand about the wiring. Electricity is pretty basic. Either you have 12V and ground or you don't, why would your fridge not...
Kevin,
Mine is a 2017 as well. Its a very manual process to lift it. I am a short person (5'8") so I don't mind it where its at, its perfect. I have the AluCab tent which is not light and I also have the AluCab Shadow Awn, so definitely some weight up there. I do typically keep the water...
I'll post a pic up later. Yes the rack could be raised or lowered. They give caution with that, because you need to have basically 4 people raise each corner simultaneously. Also there are wires and things going through the uprights so you have to be careful. They also caution in going too...
My Alu-Cab Gen 3 is mounted on my trailer (XVenture XV-3). I really like it there. I used to have a ARB Simpson III on my vehicles rack, but this is much better.
Many trailers (AT Overland, Turtleback, XVenture, etc) have large onboard water supplies of 15-22 gallons or more. Do people drink from these typically? Or do they just use it for showering, cooking, washing, things like that? I would think a large supply like that, the water may get a bit...
I have my ARB Simpson III Roof Top Tent for sale. Just over 1 year old. Tent is in a great condition, just one very small hole on the front mesh, which I patched using an MSR patch kit.
