If it's any comfort, no one would even notice these leaks on another trailer, we're just hypersensitive because it's wood. Mine was also a 2010 so it wasn't built with the new technology in the current trailers. They were still learning some of this stuff.
Hey guys I'll go out and get photos tomorrow during cleaning. I got it along the top wood deck in the rear hatch. It also looks like it had some on the door in the past (before i owned her). I think I'm going to put a fresh coat of sealant on everything and a fair amount of silicone on anything...
Well done! Let us know how it holds up.
I may as well use this thread to ask this because I was up all night being frustrated by it.
Has anyone else had issues with water in the rear hatch? Mine leaked a long time ago and caused some wood rippling. I dont see any water and have checked it...
I run two boulder 30 hard panels and a goal zero solar controller. Running my fridge in the heat, fan all night, and lights as needed it stays fully topped off. The thing to note is that rollable panels ARE NOT as efficient as hard panels. Youll need far more rolling panels to maintain a battery...
Coastsider, how do you find the propane tank to last with the heater. I'm deciding if I want to run a second small tank like you or upgrade to a large tank for the heater.
Youll want a mat like the one above and a slight gap in the trailer lid. If I recall correctly the basecamp we tested had a lip on the lid. you should be able to stick two thin pieces of rubber on the passenger side of your trailer to just SLIGHTLY crack the top during storage. This will let air...
Wow this is very cool and long over due. These may have made me keep my Range Rover sport. Besides the huge bonuses mentioned above, the smoother ride due to less air in the bags would have been awesome. Well done, we look forward to seeing these on more trucks!
I would highly suggest avoiding a fifth wheel. A small trailer like a teardrop with a roof tent would serve you better. If you don't want a trailer you shod do a four wheel csmper sort of setup in the diesel truck. Basically plan for small roads tight corners and possibly bad road conditions...
Check this out, it may help you get an idea of what you need in pair with its sister article. (Link included in the article below) As others have said it all depends on your setup. From someone who has moved a tongue heavy trailer don't overdo it. You want a forward bias but too much will ruin...
