    Stage One V8

yeah, been doing a lot of thinking about the best option (i recognize it is nice to have options). i've got a NAS 110 with a 4.6 that has less than 15K on it. it's got 4.71 gears and an LT95. GBR rear, lockers F/R, on-board air (via the AC compressor). it does the low-range stuff great and...

    Stage One V8

classic! Feel like I'm on "Deal of the Century" - you remember that game show? interesting food to chew though... oh, and yeah, the 109 got a new galv frame in ~2000! Rust-free gem hiding under there.

    Stage One V8

i hear ya. regularly entertain the idea of selling the 110 and using some of the proceeds to build up the 109 - V8, tranny, axles, suspension, etc. hell, the 109's bones are better than the 110's at this point.

    Stage One V8

Yes, I do like the idea of 5 rovers, but, no, I don't really want, or certainly need, 5. Even having two, at this stage in my life (3 boys 7 and under), is too many because they don't get the attention I'd like to give them; hence, the idea of one rover that mixes what I like/want from the two...

    Stage One V8

Was reading the article on the Stage One V8 in the most recent Rovers North mag this morning and got to thinking... My current quandry is I'd really like to have one rover, preferably a combination of my 109 and my 110. (Well, I'd actually like to have about 5 rovers, but that's another story.)...

    '83 Suburban GMC 2500 4x4 w/ 48k miles!!

Couldn't do an even swap - I already have what I would consider a low offer for more than that. Besides, if I came home with another vehicle instead of cash, I'd be sleeping in it. :ylsmoke: As for the sales race, the sheer volume of your transactions places you in a different category altogether.

    '83 Suburban GMC 2500 4x4 w/ 48k miles!!

Burb and cash for my 109? A little bit of work on the 109, on your part, and she'll fetch you a tidy sum in the end, I imagine. If you paint the burb a different color, maybe a deep blue, I'll throw in a couple 40+ year old vertebra, a few moderately-used facet joints and maybe a length of...

2004 Land Rover Discovery II -White/Tan - NEW!! 4.6 liter with warranty!!

don't get your breeches in a bundle, i made no suggestion of a potential trade... assuming that was your inference. :ylsmoke: however, i will look forward to your sales pitch where the classic is concerned.

forgotten how much i love that word. guess we panty pieces should just un-twist our knickers a bit and learn to fully appreciate our banjos, eh?

    1955 land rover

you're a better man than i... or at least you have a much higher tolerance for joint pain and noise. with that said, however, if i didn't have to commute over a mountain highway every day, i'd "suffer" the 109 as a DD. regards, joker :ylsmoke:

    1955 land rover

past comments on the highway-ability of a Series are good ones to note. unless you've got a Vortec or V8 under the bonnet, you're going to spend all your time in the slow lane. that is fine, if you're prepared. don't plan on passing anyone unless you've got a downhill to work with. my 109...
