    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

I believe ya'll are right, these are what I ordered:Fleabay Xbulls Given the opportunity, I'd like to try the 10T version-not to mention the TREDs and TRED pros.

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

They could be imitation xbulls I suppose...ironic in and of itself. Ordered them off eBay, cost the usual ~$85-90 you can find them for there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Not exactly hard ground, and to your point-the MTs and ATs (not to mention the fiberglass waffleboards)-haven't broken despite years of use and going through that exact same trial.

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

So I finally got around to not just ordering a set of Xbulls, but also finding some time to test them. Here's a visual of the findings: Thus I continue to say they probably are not a suitable substitute for anything more than automotive/expolicious jewlery. We'd planned on doing a full...

What do you use for a truck gun?

Took the two projects out today for some fun. Verdict: 300BLK is a good handy weapon with decent power at short range, will likely suppress it and play with the optic setup, but not much to report here other than it works. Glock mag AR pistol was the real test bunny today, several hundred...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Milestone passed. Immensely appropriate that it was on 66 traveling back from WV to NoVA. Given some things afoot there will likely be many more milestones passed on that stretch. She got a slightly early oil change yesterday. Today she got to do a little bit of terrain response to get to...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Some more shots from today, we played with traction aids given the ongoing commentary in the 'maxtrax, are they worth it?' thread. Yes, that is the answer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RIP 2011 LR4 Kilt by a cell phone and a neon. In a subdiviso

I had a 3/4 FR rack w/no fairing-it was loud. Switched to Prospeed, which is silent. Added RTT which has created some wind noise but that's ok. Def concur that the FR fairing is a must. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Snow Wheeling - Let's talk pressures & Terrain Response/DSC

Odd. When I turn off my DSC (& HDC) the TR works fine but doesn't seem to chew the brakes much at all. Mind you I have never played in anything more than moderate snow so I can't really make a judgment on that surface. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Snow Wheeling - Let's talk pressures & Terrain Response/DSC

Um, I have a question-why did you have your DSC on while wheeling? That's the first thing I turn off. Then, most of the time, I turn off the HDC b/c it annoys the s out of me unless I see terrain where I want the computer assisting with that. Maybe I'm messed up here...

What do you use for a truck gun?

Glock mag AR lowers come in a couple of shades of cost from what I've found. The one I pictured is a spartan lower from JBO (https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Spartan-9mm-Glock-Magazine-Compatible-Billet-Lower-p/jb-spartan9.htm), at the time the Spike's 9mm lower wasn't avail and I was bored...

What do you use for a truck gun?

Gotcha, well I have one sitting in the bottom of the safe. I love the concept, and even the execution isn't too bad but something about it doesn't quite work for me. Just a little too bulky/chunky feeling. I recognize that description makes no sense but it is one of those things that on paper...

What do you use for a truck gun?

How do you like your Roni? I have one, it just hasn't quite 'stuck' with me yet. I threw my G19 into it and appreciate the increase in accuracy and its relative compact length but it feels bulky. So then I did this. And because I have a problem, I decided I wanted to try a 300BLK too so...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Another one of those weekends where the truck just proves its worth. Took a trip from N. Va down to Va Tech for the eldest to do some engagement with some engineering students and then a weekend of potential student orientation. Since that faciliated us handing her off to her mom and some...

    Roofnest

From what I was told if you're 6' you'll want the XL in whatever size. I'm 5'5" so I have all the disadvantages in life of being short-except when fitting into airplane seats, and RTTs-so that was N/A for us. We find it more than adequate, but the Autohome folks were adamant that taller folks...
